February
The theme of this month is Science. We will be​ exploring what science is in general and how it impacts us every single day. Children will learn the different types of sciences, the scientific method, and how to set up a lab notebook. Within this theme, we will explore how failure and science work together to produce great results and also the need of collaboration in a science setting. We will have an experiment that will shock everyone (it's a secret!).

Technology:
The theme of this month is Technology. We will be learning about the different types technologies. We will explore what we consider technology vs. What technology actually is. We will explore technology by using programs like Google CS, Scratch and MIT app inventor. With their new found knowledge, students will be expected to created coded letters. Students will also learn how technology has been used to change the world and how young people have done some amazing things with the use of technology.

Engineering:
The theme of this month is Engineering. We will be learning about the different fields of engineering by building, problem solving and discovering how things works. We will be making a variety of slime to go along with the valentine's day theme, light-up Valentines day cards, and spectrometer. This month students will also be forced to think like engineers when they are expected to create something entirely new out of recycled parts.

Arts:
The theme of this month is Art. We will be doing cool projects mixing art and science to show that art is also an important aspect of science. We will be making a galaxy in a bottle and rainbow in a jar. Students will learn the science behind these phenomenons.
